Praeter Wine Dinner
Wednesday 6th of May | 6:30pm | $89pp
Join us at Station Road for a one-off Praeter wine dinner hosted by Matt Large, indulging in 6 wines paired with a four-course menu from Head Chef Bryan Lee.
Praeter was started by Matt Large in 2018, initially born from a desire to explore and understand Nebbiolo in Australia’s soil and climate. Whilst working with Nebbiolo across both hemispheres, Matt was all the while continuing his career here in Australia working with some of the premier Chardonnay and Pinot Noir producers in the country, most recently Shaw and Smith and Tolpuddle Vineyard. In 2024, Matt decided to leave his role as Senior Winemaker at Shaw and Smith to return to farming grapes and focus on Praeter full-time. It was at this moment, and in the following 2025 harvest, that the first bottlings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were released, along with the first fruit farmed and released under the Praeter label.
